Back for another RiRi Rates/Reviews and we are here at Feed Your Soul Harrisburg PA! And let me start by saying this is by far one of the BEST restaurants I have ever had the pleasure in rating/reviews and I have been all over the oast 20 years. First impressions- The smell smacks you the second you open the door it is incredible! Mixed with the the zen quality but also new York style decor extremely unique. Customer service/information- Very welcoming environment, friendly, clean and made to order so FRESH is what you will be receiving so patience is a virtue if ordering take-out (well worth ever second) they also have a call ahead option for on the goers and a nice selection of tables. I did notice they also allow reservations for occasions which is perfect. Now on to the best parts as always! I want to start by saying that this is not your typical fast food soul food place. This place is down right home cooking at its finest!!!! The menu is bountiful right down to the 16 side options available!!!! -fried chicken was so amazing I couldn't even get to my sides tbh until the end. I could taste very hint of flavors used, the skin was fried to perfection. Candied Yams- Once again the best hands down I've ever had I could taste at least 3 flavors made to perfection. Corn on the cob- melted off the cob and seasoned juicy. Mac and cheese- Delicious flavorful and I love that they made sure all portions had some of the crust we all crave. Cornbread- Buttery sweet and fluffy!!!!!! Mango peach homemade Kool aid yes I said Kool aid and it tasted like the most amazing Popsicle on the hottest summer day I would literally drive the hour again just for that tbh. Strawberry-lemonade cake- words cannot describe the level of deliciousness and huge serving a must try if you have a sweet tooth (they have a large option of dessert available freshly prepared) Last but certainly not least the Spanish style yellow rice was my favorite of this food run today I honestly don't know what special magic ingredients were used in this rice but it was by far the best rice in the East Coast. Romi, Goldie, and your Daughter, thank you for having such a wonderful place and experience. I truly appreciated the down home feel and hospitality there. I got the catfish dinner(Romi called it the 2 for 3 or something to that affect). I wanted the collard greens but they weren't ready yet. But, low and behold, in the middle of eating my food he brings a bowl of them out. They were perfect. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The cornbread as was mentioned on here previously, was cooked perfectly(if you are used to store bought or box mix, then maybe it isn't for you). This is made from scratch and dark from the glaze they put on it which was a pleasant surprise. They take pride in cooking just enough and don't have things pre-made so some things you may want to call ahead and have prepared since it will take a couple hours to have it ready. They are not a fast food restaurant and that is definitely what sets them apart from 99% of the restaurants anywhere. Will definitely become a regular there for sure, for the whole dining experience from the moment you walk in, the food, etc. Can't say enough good things about this place. Glad to have found a diamond in the rough and to have met such wonderful people and just a family operated business which now a days you are hard pressed to find.

Some of the best cornbread and mac and cheese I've ever had the oxtails were amazing there chicken was really good and the yellow rice was really good got a great menu with all sorts of good stuff for sure can't wait to go back

My best friend and I stopped into the restaurant before our travel back home. Best choice we made that day! The owner/host was super welcoming! The ambience was cozy and beautifully decorated. We felt right at home. The food!!!!! Chefs kiss! 10/10 recommend if you're in this area or traveling here and looking for good soul food in Harrisburg.

This was my first time going to Feed Your Soul Restaurant and omg the food was amazing, the hospitality was great all around . I will definitely be going back! I love supporting local businesses, especially when owners are genuine and super nice! The food is made from scratch and was sooooooo good!! The cornbread best I've ever had so far! Crab cake amazing, I tried collard greens for the first time and loved it! Goldie you are an amazing cook , and Romi and daughter were just super nice and funny, love the hospitality of real people with big hearts! And we didn't leave hungry lol!! See you all again soon!!!

Be prepared this food is the closest to home you will get away from home. When they say feed your soul your soul will be fed. Go see Mrs. Goldie she has you looking around for your grandmother. Great vibe great people.

Absolutely phenomenal! Feed Your Soul Restaurant delivers comfort food straight from the heart. I ordered the fried pork chops, and let me tell you—crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside, perfectly seasoned with that soulful, down-home flavor you crave. The candied yams were like dessert on the side: buttery, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Collard greens had that slow-cooked, depth that tastes like Sunday at Grandma’s. And the sweet cornbread? Golden, fluffy, with just the right touch of sugar to bring everything together. The service was warm and welcoming, and the vibe made me feel right at home.
